ReUpp Inc. ("ReUpp", the "Company" or "we") takes privacy and data security seriously. We are committed to transparency in the collection and use of your personal information.

ReUpp provides a web-based platform that: (a) allows our retailer business partners to offer and promote a buy-back program for eligible products (the “Retailer Services”); and (b) allows individual consumers to sell eligible products through a buy-back program (the “Consumer Services”, and together with the Retailer Services, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process in the course of providing the Services to our business partners and to individual consumers, as well as to the personal information we collect, such as through our website at

Collection and Use of Personal Information

We obtain personal information in the course of providing both our Retailer Services, and our Consumer Services.

Retailer Services

In the course of providing the Retailer Services to our business partners, we may obtain personal information about our business partners’ employees and consumers as set out below:

  • Information Required to Provide the Retailer Services.
    In order to provide the Retailer Services, we collect information about consumers on behalf of our business partners, including full name, email address, order number, and order details, including item stock-keeping unit (SKU), purchase cost, and date of purchase. Our business partners have authorized us to use consumer personal information, and such use is at all times subject to the privacy policies of our business partners.   • Support Services:
    We may collect certain information (such as name, email address and query) when we provide user support services by phone, email or through the Retailer Services.

  • Use of the Services:
    We may monitor use of the Retailer Services by our business partners’ employees or other authorized users in order to detect, investigate or prevent any actual or potential violation of our terms and conditions. We may also generate aggregated, non-identifiable data and use such information to monitor the performance, use and stability of the Retailer Services.

Consumer Services

In the course of providing the Consumer Services we may obtain personal information about consumers, including through our website, as set out below:

  • Account Creation:
    You may register for an account by providing us with your email address and by choosing a password. We use this information to allow you to exercise a buy-back option, if available through on one of our business partners, and to enable the Consumer Services.

  • Using the Buy Back Option:
    If you choose to exercise a buy-back option as part of the Consumer Services, you may do so by providing us with your mailing address, phone number, order details, and preferred method of payment. We use this information to purchase eligible items from you through the buy-back program, and to enable the Consumer Services.

  • Social Media:
    We may offer you the opportunity to engage with ReUpp or its content on or through third-party social media websites, plug-ins and applications. When you engage with us on or through third-party social media websites, plug-ins and applications, you may allow us to have access to certain information associated with your social media account (e.g., name, username, email address, profile picture) to deliver content or as part of the operation of the website, plug-in or application.

  • Marketing Communications/Mailing List:
    You may select if you wish to receive email marketing communications with updates and other information regarding ReUpp by providing us with your email.

    When you contact us with a comment or question we collect the information you provide, such as your email address, along with additional information that we may need to help us promptly respond to your inquiry. We retain this information to assist you in the future and to improve our customer service and service offerings. We also use personal information to establish and manage our relationship with you and provide quality service.

Information We Collect Automatically

We and our third party service providers, including Google Analytics, collect, process, store and analyze information obtained from your browser when you visit our website, including IP address, device identifiers, browser characteristics, operating system details, language preferences, referring URLs, length of visits, and pages viewed. We also use “cookies” or other tools that track, measure and analyze the behaviors and usage patterns of visitors to the website. We use this information to help us understand how visitors engage with the website and to improve our visitors’ experience.

Sale of Business

Personal information may be provided to third parties in connection with a merger or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of ReUpp or as part of a corporate reorganization or stock sale or other change in corporate control, including for the purpose of determining whether to proceed or continue with such transaction or business relationship.

Safeguarding and Retention of Personal Information

We have implemented reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures in an effort to safeguard the personal information in our custody and control against theft, loss and unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure. We restrict access to your personal information on a need-to-know basis to employees and authorized service providers who require access to fulfill their job requirements.

We have personal information retention processes designed to retain personal information for no longer than necessary for the purposes stated above or to otherwise meet legal requirements.

Access to Personal Information

You have the right to access, update and correct inaccuracies in your personal information in our custody and control, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law.
